I walk on a road lush with dreams,
a road of forgotten and veiled dreams,
sometimes slowly, sometimes gaily,
sometimes lost, sometimes profound,
I walk a road of unknown mysteries,
fervently finding my way through the endless path.....

Love.Pain.Betray.

Attachments are beyond the control and regulations of human realms. No matter how ironical it may seem but the games our own mind plays are so deceitful that we fail to perceive them and mindlessly keep getting sucked into this whirlpool.
While we happily pass our day laughing and chattering, our cunning brain keeps using them to create love and attachment on the hindsight.

No enemy can betray as brutally
As our own beating hearts
Yesterday sprouted the love seeds
Today my desires bleed and depart

Without any prior consent or signatures,it continues to create love potions in our soul and we let it exploit us like a misinformed consumer.
How fair is it?! To which it instills a reply of 'everything being fair in love and war'. That reminds me of the fairer sex which gladly lets the mind not just play games but is also enslaved in the pretext of love.

Long talks of love and yearning
Ringing giggles, a charming smile
Unquestionably my heart accepted
Forever, you shall be mine

Running behind someone is the worst poison one can give himself. It leaves you totally empty, hollow and consumed.
During the April days of any relation, our heart is full of hopes. Beaming with zeal and an energetic sunshine. It conspires with the mind and together they create a delusionary image of 'forever' without realising that no two hearts can beat as one, no two souls can synchronise in a similar passionate frenzy.
Time continues to cement this belief until one fateful night, cold and chilly winds of reality start blowing. They are piercing and dry, jabbing and jarring away every delusion of a soothing sunshine.

You are palpitating and sweating
crushed to the core
But you can't stop running behind
who never was and never will be yours.

Sense of an ending...

Tears rushed through her lonely eyes
remains of a lost faith
piercing depths of her soul
this eerie sense of an ending

Cracked lips unable to tremble
silent sobs synchronous with beats
flowing like red in her veins
this eerie sense of an ending

A mayhem of incessant voices
murmuring from nowhere to nowhere
wrapping her like a volcano
this eerie sense of an ending

Crawling stealthy breath after breath
conspiring with time and mind
numbing her from toe to head
this eerie sense of an ending

Tightly gripping every muscle
twisted cords of realization and remorse
shaking her reason of existence
this eerie sense of an ending

Attaching firmly beneath her skin
million cells of painful memories
shielding all hope and happiness
this eerie sense of an ending

 Enveloping even her shadow
like the calmness of a night
terminating life moment by moment
this eerie sense of an ending.

Let them blossom!

Have you ever noticed
those delicate little hands
who polish your shoes
prodigious you stand

Have you ever noticed
in the mayhem of town
weavers of dreams
you curse upon and frown

Have you eve noticed
bright twinkling eyes
while they mop the floor
in a hope to rise

Have you ever noticed
the zest in their hearts
when they serve you silently
and you leave them to starve

Have you ever noticed
those burnt fingers
in your noise and celebration
their pain lingers

Have you ever noticed
the teary eyes
when you abuse and stab
pleasing your mighty pride

Have you ever noticed
the innocent why's
you left them to be gobbled
in a handful of lies

Have you ever noticed
the trembling bud
when you harassed her
and threw in a mud

Have you ever noticed
the dolls you carry
when for materialistic whims
you forced her to marry

Have you ever noticed
the sweat they shed
not to read and learn
but to beg instead

Have you ever noticed
the severity of your crime
selling the priceless pearls
for less than a dime

Have you ever noticed
when a boy you sodomize
its not just him
but a generation you victimize

Have you ever noticed
that you noticed not
little blossoming flowers
our worlds garden has got

Notice them now!
running wild and free
they are our greatest gift
nurturing them is victory!

For you, my friend :)

Cruel and harsh
Life is strange
promises of forever
in seconds they change

I fell apart
like autumn leaves
down in the valley
dreams buried deep

and slowly but surely
life pulled me up
God seemed to hear again
faith re developed

I woke up again
to new beginnings bright
a stranger from distant land
caught my sight

in initial phase
I failed to recognize
our relation groomed
in its own stride

little by little
he touched my soul
his caring gestures
and ways unknown

I am healing now
of my past pains
with your support
infinite strength I gain

You are a blessing
God's choicest gift
I will forget you not
even if our paths drift

you hear me steadily
night and day
you held my hand
in the summers of may

I can never repay
the unconditional love
its a heavenly bond
from paradise above

in you I trust
with you I fight
you judge me not
just suggest me right

I feel protected
a feeling divine
in your thoughts
I forever wish to be entwined

its true they say
life's ironical equation
you gain some. lose some
mathematics of relations

even miles apart
today or tomorrow
I can look up to you
in woes and sorrow

no words seem apt
no verse precise
which will explain
your place in my life

a promise eternal
I wish to make
never ever my friend
will this bond break.

P.S. This poem is a dedication for someone whom I can safely call my 'best friend'. He is also a blogger and when it comes to blogosphere I guess people know him better than me (specially girls;))since he churns out absolutely amazing love stories !
Apart from that he is a great person, the 'too good to be true' kinds. Even when I irritate him like hell with my absolutely random and at times mindless stories he will listen so very patiently as if he were genuinely interested. Remain the same and continue to listen to me :P
I know this poem depicts not even a tiny part of who you are but still can't write better so please accept it :)

And this post is special for one more reason - It is my 100th post...taaddaaaaaa *drum rolls* :D

A note of thanks to all those who read and appreciate, believe me every single word of yours matters. When I joined blogging I never thought I would be able to carry it for sooo long but the constant motivation and love encouraged me to share what all my heart embodies here on 'Embodying Emotions'.

THANKS A LOT FRIENDS :D

OK since its sounding more like a 'self proclaimed winners' speech (which are always so irritating AND boring) I stop here and now. Will be back with a new post soon. Till then hasta la vista dearies :* :))

Leaving you with few lines that I felt will some up all those 'genuine friendships' in the world....

Not just today.....

Its not today that you left me
a long time has passed
memories and memoirs have faded
in the ocean of life, big and vast.

Its not today that I cried
hiding myself in the dark
sobs and tears are a familiar part
and cuts that leave a mark.

Its not today that I pasted an empty smile
for the fake world to see
all they know is a happy girl
who cares what's going inside me.

Its not today that I tried to let go
all that life bestowed
in the form of sufferings and pain
and hurdles on the road.

Its not today that I accepted
what life presented to me
you and I were different people
and were never meant to be 'we'.

Its not today that I heard 'let go and move on'
from folks to whom it matters not
time can never be a healer
but a mere illusionary guard.

Rise and shine !!

o' woman of today
you fragile creature
know that you are strong
silence not your powers any more

For ages they have misused you
took your patience for granted
know that you too can speak
silence not your voice any more

every now and then
they victimize and torture one of you
know that you have an identity
silence not your respect any more

crushing your desires
they boast of control
know that you have a life
silence not your rights any more

though you be dainty
withholding your potential
know that you are not weak
silence not your strengths any more

The world exists at your feet
they must never ignore it
know that you are the begetter
silence not your might any more

patriarchy shouldn't mean oppression
you are no slave to them
know that you stand equal
silence not your pride any more

o' woman of today
stand up for yourself
know that you are the most wonderful creation
silence not your existence any more!

PS: Crimes, criminals, perverts, cowards, debauchees, barbarics - deal with them NOT with silence!

...the last gasp...

Endless steps
I climb
darker dungeons
breathlessness
the last gasp...

O where did I leave
my own self
amidst uncertain
promises
the last gasp...

In the flowing river
I crawl helplessly
up and down
to reach no where
the last gasp...

Crumbled dreams
in a wounded box
rip it apart
let me escape
the last gasp...

Royal curtains
beaded and stoned
aren't pretty anymore
tear them apart
the last gasp...

Blood rushes
in and out
profuse and red
momentary respite
the last gasp...

Silence murdered
the soul inside
a gush of air
and it all ends
the last gasp....

Snow

Late in the evening
snow begins to fall
little insignificant flakes
drapes mountains and homes

lush, pure and calm
like a sea painted white
serene as it flutters
gentle as in sways

In a valley exists a town
a little unheard one
with a dim lit cottage
wildflowers and soft grasses

amidst the mountain range
sits a girl besides the window pane
snow ruffles her dreams
that's her belief

in the loneliness of nights
snow flickers like hope
delighting her yearnings
sharing lost dreams

the silence of snow
talks of untold desires
on petite white flakes
swings endless mysteries.

contour of memories

An indistinct frame
follows me
although petite but
with an aura of authority

drawing a sharp notice
its clumsy and curious being
with an untimely arrival
like a wintry mist of familiarity

Carrying a heavy luggage
a bandwagon of emotions
throwing me in a dudgeon
deep, dark and silent

like splinters in hits
or a void of realizations
a 'breathing' bullet
piercing and lingering

a flight of retrospection
caged and restricted
it takes me to a place
so familiar yet so hostile

I have known it well
as a frequent visitor
who unlike my own shadow
walks besides me

Never will this image
leave me in solitude
in moments of serenity
it will hunt and haunt me

As time flows by
I am afraid that it shall rule
my forlorn nights
and long summer days

this contour of memories...

PS : I found this pic a little creepy and the ironical part is, although my poem endorses such an abstract idea, it somehow depicts it pretty well. Google, you intrigue me!

Unimpeded....

Taking hold of me
from dawn to dusk
and dusk to dawn
in blooms and flush

desires never die
unconsciously they lie
flourishing like weeds
causing untold miseries

spinning concentric webs
thread by thread
entangling and breaking, entangling again
futile is to impede

amorphous kindling aspirations
setting up wildly like a storm
rooting deep to the deepest
outgrowing the tallest of trees

I fight and I resist
those arrays of emotions
but there is no holding them
futile is to impede

neither meaningful words
nor soulful talks
can subdue those temptations
and futile is to impede....

a love not forgotten....

Twenty stairs
a perching bird
I stand here
behind the church
one misty morning
you caught my sight
I still remember
that blue shirt with red stripes

again we met
in a party
destined it was
began our story
time flew off
in its habitual way
silent whispers
yet volumes they'd say

parched roads turned lush
wildflowers bloomed
moon crescented much
as our love groomed
I knew not
we created memories
someday it will
be my prized victory

you stole my soul
reasons unknown
my heart still yearns
distressed, forlorn
the places we strolled
the songs we sang
those long happy drives
on city's outskirts

and then suddenly
you had to leave
a bitter reality
to believe
called you were
to the war-front
axing my dreams
you walked off dear soldier

the day you returned
I was euphoric
running wildly
untrammelled and free
you stood there
a proud warrior
your smile shone
charming like ever

but..who was she?
I stepped back to know
maybe his mistress
the crowd implied
still and tizzy
I stood and watched
our past memories
dismantled and dislodged

you held her hand
and went inside
people followed
ignoring my plight
you took oaths
of marital bliss
the church bell rang
uncertain of my grief

long years have passed
seasons flown and drown
oft-returning birds
yet a sturdy me
still stands there
twenty stairs
a perching bird
unforgotten you....undying love!!

PS : The image above is what inspired me to pen down this poem!

Hope kills...

Hope kills
yes it does
a sharp weapon
that prods relentlessly.
moments ago
a momentary respite
you got up
brushing tears aside
all seemed well
in control
unlocking the door
bridling worries
you march ahead
nature soothes
bolstering you up
are trespassers
and slowly 'hope' crepts in
back and revived.
you loose guard
mistaking it for-ever
but vicissitude is inevitable
inexorable
a blowing jerk
and its ripped off
throbbing beats slowing down
gasping for air
a momentary respite
moments ago
another jab
now no more
told you my friend
hope kills.......

PS : I have tried depicting a circle which defines 'hope' in our lives. Its actually a viscous one...killing us one moment and compelling us to 'hope' on the very next....but then thats my view point, you are welcome to let those imaginary horses gallop wild and free and interpret the words in your own way :)

The many shades of me :))

The many hues of life
all splashing unto me
a sprinkle here and there
or drenching wild and free

eccentric and vibrant
joyous and en- zealed
with careless laughter pouring
ORANGISH shades it reveals

passionate and intense
dawning turmoil and upheavals
I care not of lighter shades then
PURPLE is the colour I be

romantic and mystic
with powerful enchanting sways
love - the only cynosure
cherry RED emboldens me

a peaceful WHITE or fresh YELLOW
inhaling the morning breeze
or crisp like GREEN grass blades
sharp yet sunny bellows

suppressed with BLUES
maybe soft and gentle
or nightmarishly dark
dimming the SILVERY enthuse

bold, BLACK and sassy
tracing authority and Independence
or saintly WHITE and sagacious
shimmering purity and radiance

The canvas is me
and so are the pastels
I am the artist
stroking with poignant skills

incomplete and imperfect
like the crescenting moon
awaiting a Midas touch
pearly drops and dew

shining a medley of shades
infinite tones and tints
I fabricate a beautiful life
I celebrate a COLOURFUL me :))

PS : I am not sure if 'colour therapy' works but there is something I know "It is not the form that dictates the colour, but the color that brings out the form" .
Wish everyone a life splashing with an array of innumerable shades! :D

In the name of "the DIVINE game"

FOREWARNING :  This post has been carved out of sheer madness. I have no intentions what so ever to hurt anybody's sentiments. However, if you feel offended in any way, my sincere apologies to you!

Cricket will be a religion
players demigods
a place of pilgrimage
will be 'THE LORDS'

toddlers will know
yorkers and spin
LBW and no balls
the gravest of SINS

match highlights will be 'chanted'
every single day
learn them you must
or you are sure to go astray

bat and ball will be sacred
and umpires be priests
before heading for crucial jobs
a six you must hit

two matches daily
on weekends six
watch,play and win
or be labelled an ATHEIST

WORLD CUP will be the 'religious month'
gulp as much as you may
auspicious to catch it live
all your troubles at bay

Sachin's achievements the HOLY BOOK
Ponting's- the lesser writings
'cricket ethics and morals'
school's will be teaching

all youngsters will be SAGES
acquainted with subtle nuances
young , dynamic players
eyed by mothers and their lasses

matrimonial will read
'should be a follower of cricket
can score at least two centuries
and run between wickets'

Government will swear
in the name of the 'CUP'
and country who wins
will be the most developed

each nation a SECT
captain as the leader
game performance will decide
your 'creed' and 'caste'

MATCH FIXING would be contemplated
to be a 'Satan's job'
whoever consorts with it
to be hell bound by the Gods

And I am sure this religion
will originate in INDIA
for our sentiments
sculpt it out perfectly

Look! I made you fantasize
of such marvellous cricket days
when hitting centuries my friend
will be a child's play :P

So whose going 'cricket-igious' ?
